Research conducted by Briteyellow at a major UK regional shopping centre has provided further validation of the company’s case for its new 3D cloud indoor positioning technology.
Briteyellow’s patent pending technology, BriteLocate3D, provides class leading location accuracy indoors for high football venues such as airports, shopping malls, department stores, stadiums, and visitor attractions.
During a survey carried out at thecentre:mk in Milton Keynes earlier this year, residents, visitors, tourists and business people were given the BriteLocate3D app on their smartphones and asked their responses.
Fredi Nonyelu, the chief executive of Briteyellow, was tremendously encouraged by the results. He said: “The majority of people asked about their thoughts and opinions about the app, concluded that it is “nice”, “good” and it’s a “great idea”.
“Most were excited about the stores and shops depicted in the technology. The conclusion was that it’s a great way to get information and make their shopping more fun, easier and interesting.”
One of the questions asked was: “How likely would you be willing to use the app for information about relevant offers and discounts?”
Respondents were asked to grade their responses from one to 10, where one was the least likely and 10 was most likely. None of the respondents gave a score below 6.
Briteyellow is delighted to report that an overwhelming 98.1% of respondents gave a score of seven or more. Nearly 36% gave a top score of 10.
