Briteyellow wins new managed WiFi service contract with West Lothian Council

Briteyellow Limited, Cranfield Technology Park, UK based wireless communications software and services provider announce a new managed Wi-Fi service contract for West Lothian Council, Scotland.

The contract to install Public and Private Wi-Fi services for visitors and staff at West Lothian Civic centre was completed in April 2014.

The contract was awarded following a competitive tender by West Lothian Council in February 2014.

Fredi Nonyelu, Managing Director of Briteyellow said, “We are delighted to have been chosen by West Lothian Council to manage Wi-Fi services for this key facility for the town.”

The West Lothian Civic centre is thought to be the biggest public sector partnership of its kind in the UK. It is home to West Lothian Council, Police Scotland, Sheriff and Justice of the Peace Court Complex, The Crown Office and Prosecutor Fiscal Service, The Scottish Children’s Reporter Administration, Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, and West Lothian Community Health and Care Partnership.

The managed Wi-Fi service installation was based on Cisco Meraki cloud managed access point hardware, chosen for its ease of deployment and management, with Briteyellows’ Partner Portal for Wi-Fi analytics.

Briteyellow integrates equipment from any Wi-Fi hardware vendor together with its Wi-Fi analytics and tracking software to provide precise location-based information services for clients.

The company operates managed Wi-Fi services at major shopping venues and business parks including locations in Milton Keynes, Cranfield, Poole, Watford, St Albans and London.
